Volunteers needed for Creating Young Readers Program!
Children who are read to before they enter kindergarten have a 10,000 word vocabulary compared to children who are not read to who enter school with only 3,000 words. Creating Young Readers-Preschool works to change this and we need your help! Creating Young Readers is looking for volunteers to help share the magic of reading with children. Currently, we are recruiting volunteers who can spend about one hour a week at The Catholic Club preschool and other sites. Volunteers must complete a background check and a Protecting Youth and Those Who Serve Them Workshop as well as training provided by Read For Literacy. Our volunteers cherish the time they spend with children and often say it is their favorite hour of their week. For more information and to volunteer, please contact Nolan at 419-242-7323.

Transportation is provided to and from area schools. Low weekly rates. Breakfast served in the morning and a snack is served after school. Homework assistance is available. We also offer full day care when schools are closed for teacher conferences and snow days, etc. Let us be your "back up plan". Call us for a tour and more information.
Community swim lessons are for children of any ability from the ages of 6 mos - adult. Sessions are 8 weeks long and include 7 weeks of lessons plus an additional week offering a family program open to all swimmers and family members.
